The Chess Lions Club offers several chess activities in groups for different levels and ages.
Lessons for children: Saturday and Sunday
from Saturday 23rd September 2023, until Sunday 19th May 2024
- Junior: Sunday 10:00-10:55 (fully booked). For children 5-7 y/o and no prior experience.
- Beginner: Saturday 14:00-14:55. For children 7+ y/o and very basic knowledge.
- Intermediate: Saturday 15:00-15:55 (fully booked) and Sunday 11:00 - 11:55
- Advanced: Saturday 16:00-17:30.
Chess For All: Friday 18:45-20:00
from Friday 22nd September 2023, until 17th May 2024
- Open Day: This will be in the form of friendly games and anyone can join.
Inter-club championship: Sunday 14:00-17:00
This season our club will participate in Inter-club championship with two teams, one team in Division 3 with the ambition of immediately being promoted to Division 2 and one team in Division 4. The Championships are in the form of 10 rounds with some play-offs, with 6 boards in each round for Division 3 and 4 boards for Division 4. The calendar is as follow (please note that the location of the round is determined by the first team cited):

Youth National Championship
This determines the champion of Luxembourg, in each age category: U8-U10-U12-U14-U16-U18 It will take place during the carnival holiday, between the 10th and 18th February 2024
Coupe de Bertrange: 27-28-29 October 2023
We are very proud to announce that our club will organise its second tournament in Bertrange. It will take place on the 27th, 28th and 29th October. This tournament is open to anyone with elo under 2000.
