European Youth Chess Championship 2024, Prague

Luxembourg's young chess players are making us proud as they participate in the European Chess Championship taking place in Prague from August 16th to September 1st.

In the blitz and rapid tournaments, Luxembourg is represented by a team of seven players: Hannah Jane LYON  (G18), Nikolai SOLOVEV (O8) (Chess Lions Bertrange), Nikita OSMOLOVSKII (O10), Dario MACIA TELL (O12) (Chess Lions Bertrange), Laurent BRITTNER (O14), Nicolas BOURG (O16), and Konstantinos BASINAS (O18).

Additionally, in the standard tournament, an impressive 20 players from Luxembourg will compete, marking one of the country's largest delegations in a European Championship. Among them are:

O18: Elyas Benismail, Sean Bohn, and Noa Zaccaria
G18: Sevda Reding
O16: Nicolas Bourg, Axel Plard, Matthieu Zeihen, and Kemal Eymen Esmer
U14: Lucas Téqui, Santiago Ortiz, Laurent Brittner, Dmitry Kostyukovich, and Meher Adwaye
G14: Samyukta S.
O12: Ludwig Vlach and Ian Capun
O10: Olaf Guzdziol, Ivan Kostyukovich, and Hamza Esmer
O8: Nikolai Solovev (Chess Lions Bertrange)
