The journey commenced in June 2023 when Hamza and Eymen showcased their prowess at the World Cadet and Youth and Rapid Championship in Batumi, Georgia. Their participation symbolized the club's international presence, laying the groundwork for subsequent triumphs.

In August, Nikolai secured the third position at the EU Youth Championship held in Mureck, Austria, showcasing the club's burgeoning talent pool. September witnessed Hamza and Eymen representing Luxembourg at the European Youth Chess Championship in Mamaia, Romania, further solidifying the club's international footprint.

October witnessed Nikolai's commendable participation at The World Cadets Chess Championships in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, a testament to the club's commitment to nurturing young talents on a global scale. November saw Hamza and Eymen shine at the World Youth Chess Championship in Montesilvano, Italy, highlighting the club's consistent excellence.

Domestic Triumphs

The club's success was not confined to international arenas alone. In December, Chess Lions Bertrange participated in the Championnat Interclubs Jeunes 2023 in Differdange, clinching the third position and securing the bronze medal, a testament to the club's depth and resilience.

February saw the club's representation by 12 talented players at the Individual Youth Chess Championship 2024 in Differdange. Nikolai emerged victorious in the U08 category, while Hamza claimed the U10 championship, and Eymen secured the second position in the U16 category, underscoring the club's dominance at the national level.

League Domination

From September 2023 to March 2024, Chess Lions Bertrange dominated the Championnat Inter-Clubs 2024, clinching the top spot in Division 3 and earning promotion to Division 2 for the next season. The club's second team, comprising emerging talents, secured the fourth position in Division 4, reflecting the club's commitment to nurturing budding talents alongside pursuing excellence.
