Hamza won the championship in the U8 category, which took place in Differdange the weekends 11,12 and 18,19 February 2023. He has done huge steps during this year, participating in many international tournaments, in Spain, Hungary, Austria, France etc. He is one of the most talented and extremely promising player in Luxembourg and is a great example for all the young members of our club.

The club was represented in the championships by 15 children in total:
- U14: Mihai was very close to winning another medal. Finished 4th with 5/7 without losing a game. Eymen, Peteris and Ido.
- U12: Ivan and Premkumar had a great tournament with score 4/7. Dario, Malak and Giorgos
- U10: William, Wang and Muhammand
- U08: Hamza, Nikolai who had 3/5 and Vihaan
This was an excellent experience pour the youngest players, some of which competed for the first time
Chess Lions Bertrange is proud of its young members who participated in the Youth Championships 2023 regardless of their performance.
