1ere Coupe de Bertrange

Le club d’échecs Chess Lions Bertrange a organisé son premier tournoi d’échecs les 3 et 4 novembre 2022 à la maison Schauwenbuerg. Il était destiné aux jeunes de moins de 18 ans, et était classé FIDE Rapid. 36 joueurs, venus de 7 clubs à travers le Luxembourg et la France, se sont présentés et se sont affrontés lors de 7 rondes de 15min + 10sec.
The chess club Chess Lions Bertrange has organised its first chess tournament on the 3rd and 4th November 2022 in Maison Schauwenbuerg. This was for players aged under 18, and was rated as FIDE Rapid. 36 players, from 7 different clubs (Luxembourg and France), came and played for 7 rounds of 15min + 10sec.
La lutte s’est annoncée très serrée pour les 8 premières places. Mihai Salomeia de (Bertrange) a fait preuve d’une grande régularité, de patience et de maitrise, pour terminer 1er, invaincu avec 6.5 points. Anakien Pezzotta (Schifflange) prend la 2ème place avec 6 points, tandis que Adwaye Meher (Strassen) prend la 3ème place avec 5.5 points.
It was a very tight battle for the top 8 players. Mihai Salomeia (Bertrange) proved to be very regular, patient, mastered all his games, and finished first and unbeaten with 6.5 points. Anakien Pezzotta (Schifflange) finishes 2nd with 6 points, and Adwaye Meher (Strassen) takes 3rd place with 5.5 points.
Ce fut une excellente expérience pour les plus jeunes joueurs, dont certains découvraient la compétition; le timing a été scrupuleusement respecté, et aucun incident arbitral n’est à déplorer.
This was an excellent experience pour the youngest players, some of which competed for the first time. The schedule was well respected and no game incident was reported.
